Banana Orange Bread

Wonderful quick bread features chopped pecans and grated orange zest



Banana Orange Bread Preparation:

  1.  Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. Butter a 9 x 5” bread loaf pan.
  3. Line pan bottom with waxed paper and butter the wax paper.
  4. In small bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  5. In mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add one egg at a time and beat until creamy.
  6. Stir in flour mixture.
  7. Stir in mashed bananas, pecans, and orange rind.
  8. Pour bread batter into prepared pan.
  9. Bake 80 minutes.
  10. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then loosen around edges with a knife, turn out onto rack, peel off waxed paper and let cool completely.
